2. What did you enjoy doing most in the classroom? Why? I liked having lots of challenges in maths  because I worked with my group and as a group, it's super fun.

3. What have you found hard in your learning this term? Explain.
I found it hard to cope with sitting down, but Miss Cooper made it easier by sometimes letting us stand up for a short time.

4. What are you most pleased with in your learning? Why?
I am very happy about my reading because I am reading Intermediate School texts.

5. Tell us one thing you would like to learn about in Term 2.
I would like to learn about the laws of the Universe. ETC: the speed of light, gravity...

Rangitoto

I am so happy that I have climbed to the top of Rangitoto and got to go inside the lava caves.

First Miss Cooper told us to line up in the classroom. Then we walked to the bus and hopped on. I sat next to my good friend Thomas. We talked about soccer and race cars and saw cars, the shiny road and other awesome stuff.

Next we left the bus and got on the glamorous ferry that gleamed like a diamond. When we got on the boat and we started to move I got badly seasick, that was as bad as a big blue bee covered in bags of basket balls covered in bugs. When I went inside the boat I felt a bit better, but I still felt bad. When I got off the boat I was completely fine.

Mr Ayson talked about the history of Rangitoto and when the owner of the house on Rangitoto died the house was taken away. Some groups went to the toilet while others started of the walk. We could see rocks and trees. We started the walk without going to the toilet. My group was Eve, Izzy, Marie, Sean And Miss Cooper. We started off great but then Sean and Marie started to really slow down so we took a little break and some groups passed us. After a while we started to sweat so we had a snack and some more groups passed us. We could see birds, insects and other things while we marched up the colossal Rangitoto.

At last we were at the summit of Rangitoto, but we couldn't stay for long!! There were hundreds of wasps, so we went down a different path to the lava caves!!!

The first lava cave was a dead end but that still didn't stop me from being the person who went the furthest into the cave!!! There were giant rocks and small stones. In the second cave it was not a dead end. My torch kept on failing but it was quite short so "few" I said. I loved it

The walk down was so so easy but I still got sweaty! I saw more giant rocks and lovely trees and creepy rocks and crazy trees until we got back to the wharf.

On the ferry that went back I got seasick again so I went inside again. I saw people trying to sleep and other weird stuff. The best part was seeing my friend having a good time. It was two o'clock when we got back to school. I was relieved but happy!!

Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Amazing Writing Goal!!!!!!!

My amazing writing goal is to think of more ideas for my work. I will do this by planning my work before I start my actual writing.

The Ball Catchers

The Three boys

Tony, Jacob and I had Tony's ball and it was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The game needs three players. One is the thrower and the others are catchers. The thrower throws the ball and the catchers need to try to catch the ball on the foul or one hand one bounce. I started as thrower. I threw the ball and on the first go Tony caught me out (Tony is the best catcher). Tony threw the ball about five times and then Jacob caught the ball one hand one bounce and he was the thrower now!!!!

We did it over and over and over and over...  but then the one o'clock bell went, we took a little break and then kept on going. I tell you, you will never get over it, it is such a fun game! The most amazing catch was when Jacob was throwing and Tony tried to catch it on the foul but it bounced on his head, he caught it one handed on the foul (Tony is really the best catcher)  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The game ends when the end of lunch bell rings. (It is always aaawwweeesssooommmeee) !!!!!!

EOTC Week Reflection

1.How are you feeling about EOTC week? Explain?

I am feeling really good about EOTC because all the activities sound awesome.

2. What are you looking forward to most in EOTC week? Explain.

I am especially excited about youth town because my dad said he had been there before and he said that it was really fun.

3. What are you not so excited about in EOTC week? Explain.

I'm not sure about going to Rangitoto because of the caves we're going in.  I'm scared of the dark.

4. Is there any activity that has you feeling a bit anxious/worried? Explain why.

I'm not worried about anything on EOTC apart from Rangitoto.

5. In Room 32 we are working on managing ourselves - that means being responsible and making good decisions. Tell us how you could make good decisions and be responsible during EOTC week.

I am not going to get to silly, only do what is necessary. I will try not to let down the team by not listening.

6. Make 3 goals for EOTC week. They could be simple goals like I will listen to my team leader or they could be something like I will take care of my belongings.

I will always listen, always try to do what is possible and I will always try to stay happy!

Jax's Maths Goal

Hi, I have some hard maths goals.

They are
1. Grouping within 1000
2. Converting fractions to decimals
3. Memorising factors.

 An example of grouping within 1000 is 367 + ? = 1000. That equals 633.

An example of converting fractions to decimals is 1/3 = ?%. That equals 33.33333333333333 recurring.

And finally, factors. The factors of 36 are 1,2,3,4,6,9 and 12.
