Why We Should Do More Maths

Did you know that   6   x   9   +   6    +   9   =   69?
Well even if you didn’t, I know one thing for sure, we should do more maths. I am going to tell you why maths is fun, why it helps you with everyday things and what amazing things you can do with maths. By the end of this speech you should have learnt why we should do more maths.
Firstly, you might not think it, but maths is quite fun!! One way is to make it fun yourself. What do you like? Candy bars? You could make candy bar division by dividing the candy bars up equally for your friends! Also, did you know that if you spell out pi to the second decimal (3.14) backwards it spells out the word pie (P-I-E)? Someone probably found this out because they wanted to have fun with maths.
Second, have you ever thought about how everyone uses maths every day? You use maths in the garden, to measure how deep the hole is to plant the seedling, how much water you give a plant, and how much fertiliser you put on the plants. Isn’t that amazing!!! Well, there is more!!! At the supermarket, when you need to decide the best value product to buy, also weighing how much fruit to buy, and finding out what the total cost of the shopping is. In the kitchen, measuring how much chicken stock to put in the food!!! That is just a few, there are ALOT MORE!!!!!!
Third, lets talk about some amazing things you can do with maths.
Do you want to be like Albert Einstein?
He was a physicist who could do amazing things with maths. He was especially famous for the physics equation E=Mc2  or, Energy = The speed of light - squared.
Computers are also quite amazing!! We use them for: Games like Tanki, Minecraft and Real star soccer. Phones are little computers, and I even wrote this speech on a computer. Why am I telling you about computers? Well, they operate using a special kind of maths called computer code.
I have listed lots of amazing things that everyone can do with maths. I strongly believe that everyone can be good at maths and find it fun. I think that all of us can do more maths, teachers can teach more, students can learn more, and we can all have lots of fun.

In fact, we should do maths every day!!!! LETS DO MORE MATHS!!!!!!
